Dr. Guerin’s love of “esoteric” programming languages started in college, at Transylvania University during the study of declarative programming languages during his Programming Languages course and that fondness continued to grow at The University of Kentucky during the study of various forms of logic and logic programming.
Dr. Guerin strongly believes that more systems should be built with Answer Set Programming as a backbone. As various computing industries grow more resource hungry, our group seeks to create an environment of higher efficiency and less destructive computing resources.
He wishes to bring his love of ASP, quantum programming, and other high-efficiency (in particular for difficult computational problems) languages and frameworks to a broader audience, and make the world a little better for his kids and others in future generations. This includes the training of other instructors, as well as undergrads, in these remarkable areas.
